Green Emergency Light Teams Up With
Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation
Asked about the impact he wanted his company to be known for, Brian Corbett stated;"When we started, we knew we were here to save lives through life-safety innovation. After that, we committed to having a positive influence on the business world by committing to:
- quality service: we respond to 98% of inquiries within 24 hours
- constant innovation: we are developing a 150 watt halogen fixture
- a commitment to the environment: we select recyclable batteries and produce post-consumer waste packaging"
By working with the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (www.RBRC.org) we selected batteries that subscribe to the world recycling program, and utilizing post-consumer waste cardboard, avoiding any styrofoam, in our packaging.
Picture Right: Four years after the LEED Building in Seattle was completed, they discovered SentryLight emergency lights and replaced all of their "bug eye" lights on the first floor with SentryLight products.
World’s First Compact Concealed Emergency Lights
Finally... compact emergency lighting that’s virtually invisible... until it’s needed.
The emergency light market place has not seen innovation in over ten years... until now. Architects, Lighting Designers, Construction Managers, and even homeowners are saying: "You mean THAT is an emergency light?"
The executive team of SentryLight has successfully marketed and distributed SentryLights in ten countries including hotels, schools, malls, office buildings, condominiums, homes and even the NASA International Space Station Training Module.
Meet the SentryLight Executive Team
Brian Corbett
President & CEO
Mr. Corbett co-invented SentryLight in 2001, with the inspiration: If emergency lighting can be invisible until it's needed, designers and architects will be able to place fixtures where they will enhance safety while still maintaining the integrity of the interior design. As a Chief of a Maryland Fire Department, Brian has experienced first hand the dangers of searching for victims in dark, smoke filled residential and commercial buildings. He also noticed the lack of effect standard emergency lighting had in these situations. Utilizing his current design and future technologies, Brian hopes to save lives by improving the quality and placement of emergency egress lighting in commercial structures as well as offering homeowners the same benefits with his SentryLightTM residential systems.
